My time at MMS
I am close to finishing 8th grade and I’m thinking about my last three years. I have made some marvelous accomplishments in my time here. Let me tell you about my three accomplishments that I’m proud of.
My first accomplishment is making the transition to regular Language Arts in 8th grade. In 6th grade I did not go out to regular education. In 7th grade I was in resource that helped me and was a smaller class. But in 8th grade I finally made it to Mrs. Albanese’s class.
Another accomplishment I’m proud of is moving out of a behavioral class (ILC) to the Sussex Consortium program. I used to have physical temper tantrums or outbursts. Now I don’t have hardly any. I also had verbal outbursts. I’ve improved with all types of outbursts.
My last accomplishment is learning sign language. This is important to talk to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. My sister has some commutation needs and I want to communicate to her. Sign language has been fun I’ve learned signs for: hurricane, good morning, time, and your welcome. I’m still learning new signs.
I have had a lot of success at Mariner Middle School. I’ve made accomplishments in my category of classrooms and my interest in sign language. I am proud of myself. I am going to Ninth Grade Campus as a responsible teenager.
